Here are my Work In Progress projects this week…
I have to admit, I went a little overboard with starting some new projects! I had a huge urge to knit which led to a fun trip to Michael's to spend Christmas money I got. I also have a couple orders along with two projects for my cousin. I was taking pictures of my projects and chuckled to myself thinking, “wow you will never get all these done.” But I will try!
First off, I am making my cousin Jackie an ear warmer and a cute slouchy hat. I wanted to try the pattern and she loves slouchy hats. She has a really edgy and cool style so these are perfect for her. Here is the start of the slouchy hat.
Now for my knitting projects….
I spoiled myself at Michael's and got some bamboo knitting needles. I got home and decided to try a dish cloth. It just isn’t looking right to me. But I am going to use this project as practice.
Next, I started a knitted baby blanket. This was a spontaneous thing I decided to do over the weekend. I don’t know what I got myself into. I’m so impulsive!
This is what it is supposed to look like when it’s done.
Lastly, I have a couple orders. A sock monkey hat and some newborn hats.
I think I have plenty to do for while! I am very determined to practice knitting. I just need to accept the fact that it will take time. I also got a book at Michael's on how to knit, so I can teach myself. That’s how I learned to crochet so I hope it works out

So many lovely bright colours. I can completely understand impulsively starting a blanket - hopefully you've more self discipline than I have to finish it :)
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow of the hat and can't wait to see your progress on the baby blanket...love the pattern!
