Granny’s and Yarn

For Mother’s Day my husband watched the kiddos and let my mother-in-law and I go hang out for the day. We went to our cool local yarn store, Hobby Lobby and lunch.

I love the yarn store! Walking through and seeing all the colors and different kinds of yarn is really fun. I have to touch almost every kind they have. The ladies who work there are also really nice. I wish the yarn was more affordable but I splurged this time and got one ball to make a hat for my daughter.

Don’t you love the colors??

I am also into making granny squares again. They are so fast and easy! Here are just a couple I have made recently. I have more I will share later

I have to add, I had a pretty dumb moment. I had written a tutorial for this pattern awhile back. Well I get started on my first one and I couldn’t remember the pattern! I had to actually look up the tutorial on the blog. Yikes! At least now I have it memorized. You should all give one a try!

  3. Great time to spend :) I wish I could afford all that lovely yarn, but it is really costly for me at the moment, so I prefer buying the local yarn, which is quite good :)
    Have a wonderful day!

  9. I'm a little jealous... did you know that in all of Phoenix there are no yarn shops... just the major craft stores... so sad. Enjoy your grannies. I'm your newest follower! I love finding another crochet-er. :)

    Come by and say hi!
