For Mother’s Day my husband watched the kiddos and let my mother-in-law and I go hang out for the day. We went to our cool local yarn store, Hobby Lobby and lunch.
I love the yarn store! Walking through and seeing all the colors and different kinds of yarn is really fun. I have to touch almost every kind they have. The ladies who work there are also really nice. I wish the yarn was more affordable but I splurged this time and got one ball to make a hat for my daughter.
Don’t you love the colors??
I am also into making granny squares again. They are so fast and easy! Here are just a couple I have made recently. I have more I will share later
I have to add, I had a pretty dumb moment. I had written a tutorial for this pattern awhile back. Well I get started on my first one and I couldn’t remember the pattern! I had to actually look up the tutorial on the blog. Yikes! At least now I have it memorized. You should all give one a try!
Me and my boyfriend went Saturday to jo-anns fabrics. I got one pound each of white and purple, its so hard not to go wild and just get one of each :)
ReplyDeleteI love those yarns <3 Lovely colors on your grannys.Have a nice day <3
ReplyDeleteGreat time to spend :) I wish I could afford all that lovely yarn, but it is really costly for me at the moment, so I prefer buying the local yarn, which is quite good :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
I love granny squares. I live in the yarn stores..I thought that shelf was in your house LOL. I was like wow she is lucky.
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of the yarn store. Eye candy, for sure! Also love your granny squares...nice and colorful! :)
ReplyDeleteAll that yarn looks awesome, your granny squares are so cheerful!
ReplyDeleteWhen I enter in a yarn shop I am lost ...
ReplyDeleteLove the rainbow of wool, I'm not surprised at all that you bought some. What kind of hat are you going to make?
ReplyDeleteI'm a little jealous... did you know that in all of Phoenix there are no yarn shops... just the major craft stores... so sad. Enjoy your grannies. I'm your newest follower! I love finding another crochet-er. :)
ReplyDeleteCome by and say hi!
