Crochet or Clean?

Yesterday I had a case of “The Mondays” and just got nothing done

Today it’s catching up with me. I want so bad to sit down with a new pattern I have been itching to try and just crochet the day away. I almost did and I am sitting here battling myself in my head.

“Oh you can sit and just start the project”

“No, no I can’t! I have to vacuum the whole house, wash bedding, dust, clean the bathrooms, make a grocery list… (you get the picture) All while keeping up with my sweet Hailey.”

So folks, cleaning has won. It was a close race and I almost gave in. I just have this thing where our house has to be clean and welcoming when someone comes for a visit. Even if it’s someone that could care less how the house looks. So I will be spending the day cleaning and dreaming of crocheting.

Want to know the good part of all this? 1. The house will be squeaky clean which is a great and calming feeling. 2. Our visitor, my mother-in-law, is a crocheter and knitter! So I’m sure we’ll get some time to relax and enjoy some craft time.

We’re really excited for Hailey’s Gram to come tomorrow so I have no complaints… just dreams of crocheting.

I’ll leave you with a picture of my little helper. She loves helping me make scrambled eggs for breakfast in the morning. She’s getting really good too!

I’ll also leave you with this really cute fall printable I found on Pinterest. I just love printables. I have a couple around our house now.Smile

You can print it out for FREE here

Have a great day friends! The Windex and Pledge are calling my name

  1. There are definitely some times when I need to clean, organize, sort and declutter before I can do anything else. It will be nice to get in some crochet / knit / craft time with your visitor!

  2. I know how you feel Mary, I wanted to do some crafty things today, but have spent all day cleaning the house! It's lovely having a spotless/organised home though :)
Enjoy your well deserved craft time with your mother-in-law!

  3. Awww, she's soooo cute! I can totally relate on the nagging voice that tells us to clean and do chores... when all we want to do is sit and crochet. I bought a pattern for these adorable ankle boots that I want to crochet for Emma, but so far I have yet to find the time to start them. Sad. :(

I've also developed a love for printables recently myself. I never thought to look for them on Pinterest--good thinking!
