Autism Awareness Puzzle Hat

I am happy to say that I finished the Autism Awareness Puzzle Hat! I am really happy with how it turned out. I can’t wait to send it to the sweet gal that asked me to make it.

Personally I love a new knitting challenge. That’s exactly what this was. I learned a lot about intarsia knitting, reading a knitting chart, changing and carrying colors, and knitting a hat flat instead of in the round. I like crocheting or knitting projects that keep me interested and get fast results. Because of that, blankets tend to drag on for me.

So here is the finished hat!

I took a couple pictures of my progress towards the beginning and end. I look back and can’t believe I made it! There was yarn everyone

Sewing in all the ends was time consuming but easier than I thought it would be.

Craziness!

Overall I had a lot of fun making this hat! I recommend the pattern if you want a knitting challenge. It’s also for a great cause. If I make another I think I will use a different yarn besides acrylic. I also hope it goes a little faster!
