A Knitted Puppy

Here is the cute little puppy I made for Hailey. I finished the blanket Wednesday night and she has been playing with it ever since.

Hailey likes wrapping the puppy in the blanket saying, “The puppy is cold.” She is still sticking with the name, Crochet.

I had so much fun making this little guy. I can’t wait to make another animal.

The blanket was knitted doing Knit 2, Pearl 2 for two rows. Then doing Pearl 2, Knit 2 for the next two rows. I love the pattern it made. The border is just a row of single crochets then a row of double crochets.

This pattern is from the book Itty Bitty Toys by Susan B. Anderson. I LOVE her patterns! I have learned a lot about knitting from her. I took her Craftsy online course called Wee Ones: Seamless Knits where I made her Hippo and Elephant.

The yarn I used is called Baby Bunny by Plymouth Yarn. It’s 60% Pima Cotton, 30% Modal, 10% Angora. (I don’t know exactly what some of those are but oh well)

I got the yarn at a local yarn shop. It’s so soft and pretty! Unfortunately the price wasn’t the best but a little goes a long way when you make little toys.

Again I can’t wait to make another animal for Hailey! I definitely like knitting toys instead of crocheting them. I’m really getting the hang of using the double pointed needles.

In other news, we’re off today to find out if Hailey is having a little brother or sister. We are so excited to find out!

Have a great weekend friends
