I don’t know about you but I sometimes need some good quality time with a good friend. I adore my kids and my husband but some time with a buddy can kind of help recharge your battery.
Last week my great friend Katie came for her yearly visit. We had so much fun! It was like we were in high school again, which is where we met. There was a lot of laughing, drinking coffee, eating junk food, more laughing, playing Just Dance, more laughing, and we even got in a couple good workouts! She showed me some yoga and I introduced her to Jillian Michael’s and her body revolution DVDs. I think we decided to both stick to what we love when it comes to exercise.
Katie has always been so good with the kids. Here she is having a deep conversation with my little guy over morning coffee.
This is our tradition every time she visits… My homemade chicken noodle soup and Mountain Dew.
She also gets her special breakfast which is a toad-in-the-hole and coffee. Here she is in previous years when she would visit

Ok moving on!
We made a trip to the mall, which was awesome. And um… even more awesome without kiddos. Katie tried on engagement rings (just for fun, kind of… hint hint Troy!), we drooled over the bags in Coach, we tried on shoes, and just enjoyed walking around a quiet mall on a Tuesday. Good retail therapy, even if you don’t spend very much!
This ended up being her favorite

I might have to add these to my Christmas list
On the last day she was here, we headed out to take some pictures. We are lucky to have these gorgeous falls by us. The weather was also perfect that day!
Tiny Katie
So after staring at the falls, we took some pictures for my Etsy shop. Katie is an awesome model!

All items are listed in the Etsy Shop! Head on over if you want to check them out
Of course we can’t take ourselves too seriously…
On the way back we got some tasty bagels then she had to head home. We had so much fun having her here! I can’t wait to have some “Katie Time” again.

You are so right. Friends are special. Glad you had a good time together and yes she makes a great model for your fabulous items.
ReplyDeleteYour friend is absolutely gorgeous. When i was younger i wanted to be a photographer. She is an excellent subject. She communicates with the camera and the camera likes it! You are beautiful also. Both of you are more like sisters than friends. You are very talented. I am going to your Etsy shop right now. No telling what i will find.
