Matching

I decided to start a new project to change things up. I am still working on the ripple blanket for my friend. I finally decided I needed a little side project.

I was on Pinterest and saw an adorable bow garland. I went to the Ravelry site and saw a ton of cute crochet patterns. I found one I love and bought it. I could totally picture it in Hailey’s room.

I started thinking of colors. Hailey recently got a new bed with a new comforter. I looked at it and started trying to match yarn to it.

I have colors that are very similar but not exactly the same. I think I am going to go ahead and use them. They’re just so pretty! And I don’t think anyone will scold me if everything doesn’t match perfectly in her room

These colors are also in the cute letters my friend Rachel made me awhile back. Matching the blanket to the letters was a total accident by the way!

This picture doesn’t show the exact colors of them. I promise they’re close

Ready to see the project I want to do? Here it is!

Garland of Colorful Hearts from One and Two Company

I think it’s so cute! I am either going to make it longer for her room or make two and have it swoop down twice, if that makes sense. I hope to start it today.

What are your thoughts on the yarn colors? Think they’re close enough?

……………….

Oh and I wanted to share this little find on Ravelry. I think it is so cute! I’d buy one but honestly, I think 98% of the people who see it will have no idea what it means.

WIP Maternity Shirt from Ravelry

Isn’t it adorable though??

Have a great day everyone

  10. I love the colors. If it's not directly next to it, I don't think anyone will notice the colors don't match exactly. I love the WIP shirt, that is so cute. You should buy it, then you can just explain it to people that ask. :-)

  11. Look how sweet...she is a cutie! Reminds me of when my little girl was that age...I had so much fun decorating her room with cute ideas like this...I didn't make the garland..but I did make some what of a garland but made it to be tie backs for her curtains! The colors you choose are pretty close that it will blend in well with the color combination in her room!! Great job, it's just darling!
