{ WIP Wednesday }

Here are my Work In Progress projects this week…

Granny Squares

The colors of this square were picked out by my daughter Hailey. She has picked out colors for three squares now and she loves it! I am going to keep letting her every couple I make.

An ear warmer for my cousin

…………………

Now that I have finished my dish cloth I knitted, I want to knit something else. I think for now I am going to do some more on that blanket I had started a couple weeks ago. Once I’ve made some progress, I will be opening my new knitting book and picking something out of there.

I have notice recently that I have been using a lot of online patterns or tutorials. I have a decent amount of crochet books that I need to start looking at again. I think doing it from a book is a little better! It’s the same for recipes for me as well. I find a bunch on Pinterest and I need to start opening up my cookbooks again.

Where do you all get your patterns? When reading a pattern from the internet do you print it, read it from the computer, write it down, or anything else?

Happy crocheting my friends. I’m off to shovel the snow off the driveway while the little one naps

  5. I do the same thing as you. Lots of crochet books, books to read, and cookbooks, but I still immediately search online for things I need. Love the granny squares!

  6. Your grannies are very pretty! I like them with white, as it makes it look gentler, if you know what I mean.

  7. Beautiful granny squares, I keep coming across granny squares, with pretty colours surrounded by white, yours are so pretty. I finally have a colour combination in my head for my ripple blanket. And one for a granny square blanket I had no plans on doing. Could I sneak in a yarn order, would my oh notice? Love your crochet.

  10. LOVE the color of the ear warmer! And your pics still amaze me. They're always very striking.
    I like to use books more than the internet. Because of that, I've recently started doing picture tutorials of stitches for those that don't like videos :)

  11. I remember so clearly the colors of granny squares in the 70's (harvest gold, burnt orange, avacado green). I'm so glad that the colors of Granny Squares have gotten so pretty and bright! I especially love the white border. Hailey is doing a great job :)
