Here is the finished Granny Square blanket!
I am very pleased with the Vanna’s Choice Baby yarn I used. It’s very soft and warm.
I still like the squares in the middle, but they did add a little more weight to the blanket. So again it’s heavy and warm!
For the border I just did two rows of double crochets, one row of single crochets, then a shell pattern with the blue. Thanks again for those who suggested blue for the border! I really like how it brings everything together.
As I type this, Hailey is taking her first nap with her new blanket. She was very excited
Ms. Hailey and I have also been enjoying some time on the floor with her new blanket…
Reading books
Giggling
Knitting and crocheting
And I was even able to do some things on the computer.
I am so happy the blanket is done! Now Hailey can use it whenever she wants. We may take it outside soon and have a little picnic.
Thank you everyone for your awesome comments through this process!

ReplyDeleteI totally love this blanket! I think I'm completely addicted to your blog! =)
ReplyDeleteI know this is a super old post, but I just found it! I want to make this blanket for my son, with different colors of course! I think yours looks about the size for a twin bed. Can you remember how many skiens of yarn you got of each color? How many stitches did you chain to start off with? The pattern you linked to is a bit larger than I'd like. Thanks!
