{ WIP Wednesday }

Here are my Work In Progress projects this week…

I got my yarn for Tunisian Throw I am going to make! Isn’t is lovely?

I already started on one square and it’s been slow getting into Tunisian crochet mode. I had only tried it one other time before this so I almost felt like it was new to me. After the second row it felt better and I am slowly picking up speed.

Of course I am still working on the granny stripe blanket. I am past the squares so it should go a lot faster now. I am still unsure what color and kind of border I will do. Any suggestions?

……………………………..

My mom is visiting this week and we decided to do some sewing! We went and got fabric and supplies on Monday and today we are going get started.

Here is the fabric I chose…

I’ll be making a pillow for our living room with the green fabric and the other two will be made into dresses for Hailey. I’m so excited! Hopefully by Friday I’ll have at least one finished project to show you.

……………………………..

Last but not least, I had my mom pick out some yarn so I could make her a pair of slippers to match Hailey’s and mine. I love the colors she chose!

  1. Everything is so nice. A friend suggested a granny stitch border for the straight granny blankie I was working on - it worked out really well. :)

  3. I love the choice of fabrics, they'll all make brilliant cushions & dresses :-)

    Tunisian crochet intrigues me! It looks like you're knitting :-o One day I'll get into it.

    Love the stripey blanket with the squares, how about edging with rainbows of double / treble crochet?

  4. Really like the new yarn. I would use the blue to finish off the blanket. Can't wait to see the finished projects.

  5. I love your granny stripes blanket, the squares make it so unique, can't wait to see more pictures! I personally like Lucy's Bobble Shell Edging on Attic24, but I'm looking for something new and special, too.

  6. How about some of the blue from the center blocks as your border?

    Any good resources for tunisian crochet?

  7. how about the border in the blue color from the squares of the blanket? I love vanna yarn. I'm jealous the edges of your tunisian squares look so nice. Advice? Mine never look that good. I have the blue and green color of the vanna yarn in my bag right now for some vacation crocheting! You always make such lovely things.
