{ WIP Wednesday }

Here are my Work In Progress projects this week…

First is my niece’s sock monkey hat. She doesn’t like pink so I found a nice purple to use instead. To make it more girly, I will add a flower instead of a tassel.

What’s fun is all of the cousins will have sock monkey hats when they open them at my mom’s for Christmas. I decided to make one for Hailey too! Hers will be grey and pink. I had already made one for my cousin Dalton last year so he is good to go.

I can’t wait to see them all wearing their hats together! I told my mom it would be fun to have them all jumping on the bed with them on.

I made this sock monkey hat for my friend Libby’s son Noah. These are the same colors I used for my younger nephew’s hat. I can’t wait to see pictures of Noah wearing the hat! I’ll share those when I get them

I also decided to pick up my Tunisian crochet squares again. I just had an itch to do some good ole Tunisian crocheting. It’s very relaxing to me. I started another crossed stitch square this time.

After the holidays, I think I will write up another tutorial for a new stitch. There are still so many others you can do!

Have a great day everyone

Christmas Crocheting

I was hoping this post could be filled with cool crocheted Christmas decorations or other things like that. Unfortunately I only have one thing to show you.

I crocheted a tiny little thing of Holly. That’s it!

{Pattern}

I ended up putting it at the end of my little Christmas card holder I randomly put up one day. It’s just yarn hanging on the wall. I pinned the cards on with clothes pins.

And of course I only made one. Am I just pathetic or what? I just have to remember, there is always next year.

I did crochet two hats for Christmas gifts yesterday and have a couple more to do. So I guess that could be counted as Christmas crocheting, right?

But we have gotten a lot of things done and got some special gifts for people this year. Hailey also painted some frames for a couple lucky people (who I can’t mention right now)

I am still having a blast with my camera. I love taking pictures in front of the Christmas tree! The blurry lights in the background is called Bokeh. Fancy huh? Ha not really though

So there is my Christmas love I can share for now. Maybe I can sneak in some Christmas crocheting before the weekend. We’ll see!

Happy Tuesday friends!

A Brim Hat

Are you getting tired of hats yet?? That’s all I have really been sharing recently. But that’s also all I have been crocheting! So here is a lovely yellow Brim Hat modeled by Miss Hailey, again.

This was my last order for the year! I hadn’t made one of these in a long time. I forgot how cute they are. Just another hat added to my to-do list for Hailey.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Another Girly Hat!

I have another girly hat to show you! This was for an order by a woman who is donating the hats she bought to a needy family. She put me in charge of picking the colors for this one. She said the little girl was very “prissy”. These were the colors that I thought of right away. I hope they are right! What are your thoughts?

I, of course, had to put it on my little model. A hat just never looks as good when it’s not on someone.

I love making these hats! I should start naming them, “The Girly Hat”

Remind Me

Remind me when I decide to make up a pattern as I go, to write it down! I had an order for a boys hat and I wanted to try a something a little different. So I just winged it and started going. When I was done I was actually ok with what I did. Now I wish I would have written my steps down. I want to share more patterns with you guys!

This is nothing fancy or complicated. Just a cute and boyish hat. I really like the grey and blue together. I will probably have to make another so I can write everything down.

I have also come to a realization that any Christmas crocheting just might not happen this year. I have been getting orders just out of the blue so that is my main priority right now. I really don’t mind it though! I can always do Christmas stuff for next year. It’s not a rule that I have to make something for each holiday. It has made my Christmas preparation a lot more laid back and relaxed. I refuse to stress! I do have a lot to do but it will all get done. In the end I will get to just enjoy time with my family and celebrate Jesus’s birth on Christmas. That’s all that matters to me

I have been enjoying reading our Charlie Brown Christmas book in the mornings with my little one.

Saturday Randomness

Hello friends! I never post on the weekends but I wanted to check in and say hello today. I haven't posted much just because I don’t have anything new and fun to share right now. I have orders to do, which is the same ole stuff so no point and sharing. Well, you will see that sock monkey hat eventually.

I have had this thought in the back of my mind recently about donating hats. I enjoy my Etsy shop business but I would love to start donating. I have noticed a lot of you readers have commented about donating hats and blankets. I think that is awesome! What a great way to share your talent and give to those in need. I think it’s time I start doing the same. I am going to start donating the Easy Peasy Woman’s Hats to the cancer center in the city I live in. After making them for my friend Leanne, I felt I needed to give more!

IMG_0350 edit

These hats are just so easy to make so they are the perfect thing to donate. Especially now that it’s very cold here!

…………..

final pick crop for blog

Hey guess what, my mom started a blog! I am so excited for her. She has wanted to start one for quite some time. I was able to sit down with her over Thanksgiving and show her around Blogger and get her started. She is one of the most artistic and creative people I know. Her blog is going to be so cool. She has already posted a tutorial on how to make these cute photo holders!

If you get a chance, head over and say “hi”! She would love to hear from you. If you love Jesus, crafts, art, or photography I recommend you start following her blog. She does amazing work!

The Path Leading Home

I hope to start posting some more crochet blog posts in the future. I can’t believe I have nothing to show you. I need to make sure and put some time aside to do some fun projects for myself as well. How about for now I just share some Pinterest Christmas love!
