I used a different type of yarn this time. He is a little more solid than Lucy. My mom added the cute hair at the top Smile

David and Lucy together… I think they’re in love

Meet… Lucy

The Fat Birdie

IMGP1790 edit

She had to be made over the course of a couple days. Mostly because I was lacking in some of the supplies. But after a trip to Michael's yesterday with Hailey and my mom, she was able to be finished.

My mom sewed the eyes since I am a newbie with that kind of thing. The beak is just made of felt glued on with fabric glue. My mom added the cute bow to make her even more girly. Smile

She is just so darn cute!

I’ll be making another one for my mom with yellow yarn. I wonder what she will name her little Fat Birdie?

Valentine’s Day Goodies

Yesterday I crocheted a couple little Valentine’s Day things for Hailey.

Hailey loves these little hearts. I decided to make a little necklace for her!

I also tried a new heart pattern just for fun. I think they’re cute! Very easy.

There was one other project I wanted to try but ran out of time. Stupid sleep gets in the way of precious crocheting time. Ha! I am hoping I can get it done in the next couple days.

And here is my little Valentine Smile

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! What kind of fun things are you doing today?

Hailey’s Hat

I made a new hat for my daughter Hailey yesterday and I LOVE it! I need to make more of these hats. They’re so easy.

I used my absolute favorite yarn, Lion Brand Cotton Ease. It’s a acrylic and cotton blend so it’s really soft.

I can’t believe she stood still for me AND kept the hat on! It was quite the accomplishment. Smile

Also if you get a chance, my good blogger friend Libby from The Bonjour Family is doing a giveaway for one of my hats!

The winner can choose what two colors they would like for their hat. Smile

12 Little Granny’s All in a Row

Haha ok that title sounds really funny. Anyway!

I finished all of my granny squares to send in for the Crochet a Rainbow project! I ended up making 12 squares. I may make more but for now I will send these.

I love the colors! I can’t wait to see what they will look like with all the other granny squares being sent in.

Crochet A Rainbow

I recently stumbled upon a crochet blog by a woman named Sarah London who lives in Australia. First off, her blog is awesome. I am so drawn to amazing color when it comes to crocheting. Hers is exactly that.

Sarah started this project called Crochet a Rainbow. She is asking fellow crocheters all of the world if they would be willing to donate some colorful granny squares to make blankets. These blankets will be given out to the people in Australia who have been effected by the horrible flooding that has happened.

I’m am so excited to be participating in this great project! I love making granny squares since they are so easy and fast. Also the color combinations seem to be endless. I have a ton of extra yarn that I can use to make as many granny squares as I can.

So far I am on a roll. Just yesterday I was able to make five! I plan on making many more before I send these off to Sarah.
