Curtains

My friend’s curtains for her new baby’s room are done! I am packing them up and mailing them out today.

I think I said this before but this was my first sewing project since I was in high school. I had a lot of help from my mom in the beginning, which I am so thankful for. Once I got the hang of it I started to enjoy it. I am excited to try sewing something else! My daughter Hailey needs some curtains for her room so maybe I’ll make some for her. I also want to try making a couple dresses. But I may have to bring my mom back again to help!

Here is one of two panels I did (before it was ironed)

I didn’t think measuring and sewing stripes would be difficult, but it was for me. I’m glad I did it though because I am more confident if I ever do it again

Here it is all ironed and ready to be sent.

It feels so good to get them done! I hope my friend likes them.

I might be crazy for doing this, but I splurged and bought three adorable dress sewing patterns on Etsy. I really want to try making them for Hailey! I think I was on a sewing high when I did it.
