I have to say that I love making hats. I am really starting to get the hang of it. It’s so easy for me to just sit with a ball of yarn and work one up.
Recently I made one for my blogger friend Trish’s niece. She chose black and pink as the colors. I had never used black before but it turned out really cool!
I also decided to try making a Christmas colored earflap hat. I took the pattern from the hats I have been making along with a little bit of a different pattern for the earflaps. Overall it was very easy! I took me a little more time figuring it all out but I think my next one will go faster. I got this done in one day! Working on and off
I made this with Hailey’s big head in mind so I made a size 3-5 years. Well that was way too big. It fits me! But it still looks cute on her. :)
I am going to try another one in a smaller size and also maybe using green.

I just found your blog through my friend Jess's blog. I love to crochet, but I'm not very good at it. I usually just stick to blankets and scarves. I would love to make some of these hats. Is it hard? Could you teach me? Where do you get your patterns?
okay...first off, how the heck did I miss your new blog...man I am just out of it(or blind!) You did such a wonderful job on the hat for Mallory...she looks just adorable in it!!! Thank you again for making it!
